Thank you, thank you, thank you for such yummy bagels that made for a very
special 62nd birthday for my husband in this remote corner of northern
California.  I left a Jewish neighborhood in Queens where I grew up the
only Catholic kid until I was 9 but never forgot the taste and celebration
of life there.  When a local friend shared your bagels with us, my husband
admited he finally understood what all the fuss was about.  He is highly
allergic to many foods but could not get enough of your incredible bagels.
 And your e-mail was so reassuring.  Great food, great service!

Being born and raised on the lower east side of Manhattan, I was very skeptical about the taste of these bagels. They arrived just minutes ago; I popped one in the toaster and expected a huge disappointment. WOW!!!! They have that flavor that only a New York bagel has and only a New Yorker can attest to…OUTSTANDING!!!!!

Good Afternoon,

I just want to tell you that the bagels are wonderful.They were wonderfully received by the Cxx family. Let me give you a little background. 

Elsie Cxx is in xxx Nursing home in Carlisle, PA She is a "native New Yorker" thru and thru, from Brooklyn. She has told me so many wonderful stories about New York City and the surrounding area.  When she was around 20 years old (During WWII) she was working in a factory making spark plugs and other spare parts for the Army.

After WWII she got a job from New York Bell started at the bottom and made it to a supervisory position at the time Verizon took it over.  She was still working when "911" happened. 

A day or two later we got in to a conversation about bagels and she said that "No one around here knows how to make a bagel"  "The best are from NY"...She also told me there are times she misses NY.

So I got the idea that Elsie is not going back to NY so why can't NY come to Elsie.So I started looking online.  Your website came up,  I looked at a few others and when your website came up...I felt (3 times that's biblical) ok this is where I'm supposed to order.

When Elsie found out they were coming she was estatic.  I asked her if she knew where the bagels came from and she knew your establishment. The first thing she said is "we need a pound of butter.  You can't eat a NY bagel without butter."  She called her son and told him that NY bagels were coming and his family was excited.  She also told the nurses on her floor that they are going to eat a real bagel.

When the package came we had bought some cream cheeses,  Elsie said she ate a bagel with Honey nut cream cheese on it and she thought she died and went to heaven.  Her favorite is the everything bagel.

When the rest of the Cxx family came and they found out where the bagels came from.  Richard Cxx's family lived in Bethpage and one of his daughters was born in Bethpage.  Richard was a frequent customer, his favorites are the bialys.

That shipment brought back wonderful memories to an old woman who felt young for awhile.  Whoever put the magnet in with the shipment had a wonderful idea.  Elsie can now look at that magnet and she tells people that "New York came and gave me a visit".  They were also a blessing for the Cxx family, the nurses on the 4th floor at xxx Nursing home and my family, I just loved the fact that this service was available.

As for me my only visit to New York City was on July 4, 1976 as a member of the crew of the USS Farragut.  We had "the best seat in the house for the Tall Ships and the Fireworks" One of the first things I did the next morning when I went ashore was to get a bagel.  There was someone on the pier selling them from a cart and it was wonderful.  When I ate that onion bagel last night soaked in butter it brought back that memory. 

I can tell you that your bagel sent overnight to PA and heated up are better than the "so called bagels" that are sold in grocery stores in our area.  Thank you for helping me bring some joy to a bunch of wonderful people.  I will be ordering something very soon.  Have a great day and may the Lord richly bless you and all who work with you and frequent your establishment

 My husband and I reside in a rural Wisconsin town, at least 50 minutes away from a commercial bagel shop.  My husband is a transplant from Rochester, NY and has a deep appreciation for a good NY bagel.  Try as I have to find something comparable to the traditional NY bagel in our area, I have been unsuccessful . . . until I found your web site, that is!  Now my husband is greatly enjoying his authentic NY bagels (occasionally he will share one with me!) and the convenience of having them shipped directly to our home is fantastic!  Thank you for allowing us to bring a taste of NY to our little Wisconsin town!

Gina, Thanks for all your help. The bagels arrived yesterday.

You would not believe what they pass off for bagels here in Texas.
